CC332.2: Specimen Creek fossil tree orientations.
Legacy route: /indexcc/CC/CC332_2.html · Source: indexcc/CC/CC332_2.html
Claim CC332.2:
The prostrate trees in the Specimen Creek fossil forests show similar
orientation. This is consistent with the trees having been transported
(as by a flood), not with the trees having grown in place over many years.

Response:
Some trees in the Specimen Creek fossil forests have been transported,
but others clearly grew in place, including those on Specimen
Ridge (Fritz 1980; Yuretich 1984a; 1984b).
